Nuro delivery bot vehicle. BBC

First driver-less delivery service to begin in California in 2021! Robotics company Nuro received the go-ahead from California’s MVA to charge for its delivery service. The tiny, oval cars would be limited to 35 mph and good weather.

The vehicle has an egg-shaped frame that is smaller than most cars in the US. It also has two temperature-controlled compartments for deliveries. Doors raise up to reveal the items once a code has been entered by the recipient. — BBC

A similar trial is on in Shanghai for a firm backed by Alibaba. Wonder what will happen to all the delivery drivers if this becomes the future! Also another acquisition target for Amazon?
