Judging by the fractious way the world in general and US in particular responded to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, a fast moving climate catastrophe is going to expose our rifts as people and lead to massive disaster. In past rogue countries would be N Korea but now leading powerhouses of nations are going rogue - not the brightest sign for what's to come. If on the other hand the climate change is a slow burn (unlikely, as the climate events mentioned in the article have shown) perhaps we have a chance.
